Individual therapy includes therapy modalities such as: CBT, DBT, coping skills, ACT, behavior modification, grief counseling, and psychodynamic.
Family therapy encompasses the family unit as a whole, or between the child and parents or guardians to help facilitate and improve communication and understanding.
Parent Management Training, or PMT, is an evidenced based program that is used to teach parents and guardians how to work with oppositional, aggressive and antisocial behaviors in children and adolescents. This is a 10/12 week program (depending on class size) that meets weekly during scheduled classes for one hour.
Parents conferences are sessions where the therapist will meet individually with parents or guardians to answer questions, review treatment goals and provide additional support without the child present. These conferences are protected by the rules of confidentiality for both the child and the parents or guardians.
